Nine streets throughout Lawrence Township, as well as the parking lot at the south entrance to Central Park, are in line for repaving.

The Lawrence Township Council awarded a contract for $779,758.50 to the Richard T. Barrett Paving Co. at its April 16 meeting. The Trenton-based paving contractor was one of five companies that submitted bids.

Carson Road, Mulberry Street, Stratton Place and Carter Place are on the list to be repaved, township officials said. They will be repaved in their entirety.

Pembroke Court, Sturwood Way, Wexford Drive and Little Circle also will be repaved in their entirety.

A 400-foot-long section of Shinney Lane will be repaved. Part of the road is public and part of the road is privately owned.

Township officials anticipate starting the work in June. It will take about 90 days to complete the paving projects.
