A 32-year-old Plainsboro Township resident was charged with shoplifting after he was observed bagging items in the parking lot at ShopRite Jan. 9. He was unable to produce a receipt for the merchandise, valued at $160.34, after a store loss prevention officer confronted him. He fled, but later turned himself in at police headquarters. He was processed and released.

A 45-year-old Howell man was arrested on outstanding warrants from Stafford and Hamilton townships Jan. 9 after police investigated an idling, unoccupied vehicle parked at the Shell gas station on Lake Drive. He was processed and released.

A 25-year-old East Windsor Township man was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Upper Freehold Municipal Court after police were sent to investigate an unwanted person on St. James Place Jan. 5. He was processed and released.

A 22-year-old Princeton man was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Bucks County, Pa., after police responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle with no license plates in the Princeton Arms East parking lot Jan. 5. He was processed and taken to the Mercer County Correction Center.

A 41-year-old East Windsor Township woman was charged with shoplifting for allegedly attempting to leave ShopRite without paying for items worth $28.78 Jan. 5. She was processed and released.
