8U West Windsor Warriors finish season as league champions

Warriors knocked off Robbinsville Ravens, 2-1, in championship game

The 8U West Windsor Warriors finished their successful travel season in November as league champions.

The team played in the 8U National West division of the United States Amateur Baseball League (USABL) and finished the season 10-2 after a championship postseason run in November.

The team was led by Head Coach Mike Garzio.

The team consisted of Jason Jian (Cranbury), Vedant Deshpande (Plainsboro), Ahaan Balantrapu (West Windsor), Christian Boden (West Windsor), Ben Guirnalda (Cranbury), and Luca Redmond (West Windsor).

Additionally, Nathan Lee (Plainsboro), Rachit Garg (West Windsor), Cole Espinosa (Plainsboro), Arjan Amar (West Windsor), Daniel Shuman (West Windsor), Max Godeny (West Windsor), Jamie Keeley (West Windsor), and Michael Garzio (West Windsor).

On Nov. 5, the 8U West Windsor Warriors earned the distinction of calling themselves champions of their travel baseball league after successful playoff victories.

Even though the team began the season 3-2, the team would go on to win their next four games to finish as regular season champions.

The Warriors hit the postseason and won playoff games against the Central Jersey Rebels and the Allentown Redbirds Black.

The championship game featured a matchup with the Robbinsville Ravens.

The game was a thrilling matchup that resulted in the Warriors knocking off the Ravens, 2-1, in extra-innings, according to the team.
