Special election will determine roof repairs, masonry improvements at Princeton schools

Princeton will hold a special school election on Jan. 25 concerning the issuance of bonds to fund new roofs for Princeton Public Schools, and repairs to multiple public schools, including the repair of the aging masonry on the Princeton High School Tower.

The election will be held from 1:30–8 p.m.

Vote-by-mail ballots will be mailed to those voters who have requested mail-in ballots.

Vote-by-mail applications must be received seven days prior to the election (Jan. 18); however, a voter can visit the Mercer County Clerk’s office at 209 S. Broad St. in Trenton, fill out an application and receive a ballot in person. This can be done through 3 p.m. the day before the election on Jan. 25.

There will be no early voting for this election, other than vote-by-mail. To request a vote-by-mail ballot, visit www.mercercounty.org/government/county-clerk/elections, or call 609-989-6494.

Election Day voting will be held at the following locations:

Polling Location 1: Community Park School, 372 Witherspoon St., for Districts 5, 9, 10, 11, 21 and 22.

Polling Location 2: Riverside School, 58 Riverside Dr. W., for Districts 7, 8, 12, 17, 18 and 19.

Polling Location 3: Johnson Park School, 285 Rosedale Road, for Districts 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6.

Polling Location 4: Littlebrook School, 39 Magnolia Lane, for Districts 13, 14, 15, 16 and 20.
