Elizabeth Aleo, an educational services professional, is Sunnymead Elementary School’s Governor’s Educator of the Year for 2021.
Aleo has been a member of the Hillsborough School District faculty for 11 years and at Sunnymead Elementary School for one-and-a-half years. She worked as an instructional aid at Triangle Elementary School, Woods Road Elementary School and Auten Road Intermediate School before coming to Sunnymead.

Aleo developed a virtual first grade sight word database, organized and directed the Sunnymead Virtual Picture Day, and is currently working on a sensory path mural for the school, according to a proclamation presented by the Hillsborough Township Committee on May 25.
