Update: Driver in North Brunswick hit-and-run identified

Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on Route 130 in North Brunswick early on June 4.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office issued a statement on June 7 that authorities are no longer looking for the suspect vehicle; the driver has been located and the investigation is continuing. There is no additional information at this time.

The deceased pedestrian has been identified as Alysa Kristjanson, 22, of Princeton.

Detective Paul Pappas Jr. of the North Brunswick Police Department and Detective David Abromaitis of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that at approximately 12:58 a.m., the victim was struck on Route 130 in the area of Dunkin Donuts. The vehicle fled the scene, according to information provided by Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and Director Kenneth P. McCormick of the North Brunswick Police Department.
