Marlboro teen identified in fatal Old Bridge crash

OLD BRIDGE — Police are continuing to investigate a one-car accident that claimed the life of an 18-year-old Marlboro man over the weekend.

According to Old Bridge Police Capt. Steven Daroci, the incident occurred at 1:39 a.m. Nov. 18 on the southbound side of Route 18 near James Avenue.

Daroci said it appeared the driver, Jacob D. Rivera, hit a curb, lost control of his red Honda Accord and hit a tree. He was the only one in the vehicle, he added.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
