HOPEWELL VALLEY: Questions surround idea to build new senior center

I read with interest the discussions regarding a proposed new senior center for the Hopewell Valley and I have some questions.
I have attended many events and speakers at the center and I have never experienced standing room only. I have been told “If they build it, they will come.“ Well, where are they now, and what assurance is there that they will be at a new, larger facility?
How will the proposed center allow more seniors to “age in place“? Who will bear the burden of the increased taxes this proposal will generate? What will happen to the current center?
I believe that the taxpayers of the area deserve answers to these questions.
